The Association at Work
The purpose of this column is to capture and share your stories, anecdotes, and experiences that are examples of how the Association’s network has helped you, or someone you know, professionally or personally, or perhaps it’s how the Association is giving back to the community. The assistance may have been the direct help of a fellow member or NA graduate in your chapter or area, or another part of the country, or the world. Additionally, the website’s lists serve, or the chapter’s training events and camaraderie, or some other aspect of the Association may have facilitated the assistance.
Your story or experience may range from getting excellent advice on establishing a challenging departmental policy, help landing that dream job, getting critical support on an important investigation, or involve how your chapter reaches out to the community, or has supported a member during a time of hardship. The important point is your experience is an example of this Association at work.
The chapter chat column is to communicate state chapter news. Announcements may include items of interest, such as section activities, events, training calendar, special programs, etc. Refer to the editorial submission deadlines, particularly with date sensitive announcements.
The Graduate is not exclusively for members, it includes all National Academy Graduates. In an effort to report current changes in status, graduates are encouraged to report promotions, retirements, and passings immediately to the State Chapter Secretary/Treasurers.
Column submission should be sent to: Ashley Sutton, Editor, FBINAA, Inc., PO Box 350, Lewes, DE 19958, phone: 302.644.4744, fax: 302.644.7764, or via email: asutton@fbinaa.org.Camera-ready photos are encouraged.
