The event was held at the City Market in the historic Columbia Vista District. Chief Skip Holbrook introduced our guest speaker, University of South Carolina Men’s Basketball Coach Frank Martin. Coach Martin gave a great talk about his college program and the challenges facing these young athletes today, and college sports in general. He talked about the effect the transfer portal has had on programs as well as the new Name, Image, and Likeness policy. Although he is a big supporter of Name, Image, and Likeness, he’s concerned about some future changes that may develop as a result. Coach Martin is no stranger to our Association.
