Speaker Bio

Mark has a combined experience of 42 years between Law Enforcement and Loss Prevention. Mark has a B.S. in Police Science and Corrections. He is a FBI National Academy graduate of Session 131, as well as, over 35 other law enforcement seminars and courses. He is a Certified Forensic Interviewer. During his law enforcement career, her served the City of Hazleton PD, Hazelton, PA and Weatherly Borough PD, PA from 1974-1983. Mark’s law enforcement career included juvenile officer, patrol, undercover narcotics and supervision. He was the recipient of the Meritorious Service Award for Heroism. Mark resigned at the rank of Lieutenant to go into the Loss Prevention field.

He has held a field of corporate positions for McCrory Stores Corporation, as a District Loss Prevention Manager, Corporate Manager of Investigations and Undercover Operations and Corporate Manager of Loss Prevention Distribution Services.

Mark also worked for the TJ Maxx Corporation and was based in Minnesota as a District Loss Prevention Supervisor. He was the Assistant Director of Loss Prevention for Kay Jewelers and upon Sterling Jewelers acquiring that company has been with Sterling Jewelers since 1980.

Mark has been a Regional Loss Prevention Investigator, Regional Loss Prevention Manager, Senior Manager of Loss Prevention and is currently the Director of Loss Prevention for Sterling.

He has instructed law enforcement agencies and field offices for the FBI throughout the US on Jewelry Identification and Investigation.
