About Buffalo Armory

Buffalo Armory was created in 2011 with a singular mission: to develop better armor to protect those who put their lives on the line.

Our founder, a former U.S. Army Major General who commanded troops in Iraq, experienced firsthand the limitations of standard ceramic body armor. Soldiers depended on their gear, yet they remained unaware that ceramic plates could develop micro-cracking from regular wear and tear. This avoidable risk is unacceptable.

To solve this problem, we pioneered an induction heat treatment technology that creates steel armor superior to NIJ III+ standards. This innovation results in plates that are more durable, multi-hit capable, thinner, and longer-lasting than ceramic and polyethylene alternatives.

We provide militaries and first responder agencies with dependable, high-quality products of superior value that are made in the USA with domestic raw materials.
